CULTURE NIGHT BELFAST 2025

BRINGING BACK CULTURE NIGHT BELFAST

MayWe Events along with our delivery partner Daisy Chain Inc were successfully tendered to program and deliver Culture Night Belfast 2025. After a six-year hiatus since 2019, it was time to bring back one of Belfast’s most anticipated events!

Culture Night Belfast made its return with a reinvigorated and reimagined programme.  The new format concentrated on venue-based events spread out across the city, curated specifically to be fully inclusive and accessible to all. The programme was designed with the city’s artists and creatives, via an open call process.

We used the ideological pillars that inspired Culture Night’s creation to bring back the ethos of the original Culture Night. The event was rooted in people, individual artists, and led by passionate people. The event showcased the spectrum of what arts and culture can do for society. Our model placed artists and creatives at the centre of the agenda and laid the foundation for events post 2025, ensuring that the event remains true to its core values in the future.

A CITYWIDE CELEBRATION

Culture Night Belfast 2025 was truly a city-wide celebration – stretching from north to south, east to west, across the quarters and into the city.

We collaborated with dozens of venues, including heritage buildings, hospitality providers, and council venues. From Carlisle Memorial Church to the Crescent Arts Centre, and from Templemore Baths to Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Approximately 60,000 people attended the event, with residents and visitors invited to over 100 free pop-up activities and drop-in events. The 2025 programme focused on family-friendly, artist-led activities and offered a fantastic opportunity to experience the richness and diversity of Belfast’s culture.

Highlights included Titanic wrestling at Grand Central Station, an Oíche Chultúir rooftop concert at An Chultúrlann, the Firepoise fire and light show in CS Lewis Square, and Opera on the Balcony on Hill Street - CNB 2025 had it all!

LEGACY OF CNB 2025

By focusing on families and venue-based events, Culture Night Belfast 2025 planted the seeds for future events and provided a vital platform to showcase the talents and value of our arts sector.

This year’s event was funded by Belfast City Council, with additional support from Linen Quarter and Cathedral Quarter BIDs.
