Come on Over is an exciting new citywide PEACEPLUS initiative designed to leverage Belfastt's rich cultural landscape to promote cultural inclusivity and cross-community collaboration. Running from October 2025 to September 2027, the PEACEPLUS project is backed by £206,330 in funding from Belfast City Council’s Belfast PEACEPLUS Local Community Action Plan, as part of its Celebrating Cultures and Diversity theme, and is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). The amount has been match-funded by the Executive Office in Northern Ireland and the Department of Rural and Community Development in Ireland. Designed to spark connection and encourage cross-community dialogue, "Come On Over will bring together 12 venues and be delivered to 426 people over two years, across all areas of Belfast. Participants - including community groups and schools - will engage in a range of dynamic, collaborative projects to increase awareness of diversity within their communities and neighbourhoods. A leadership and activities initiative for local and city wide venues will help develop cross communities engagement across Belfast and give local residents an unprecendented opportunity to engage in activities in cultural venues and spaces that are new to them.
